About
Kristen Giovanis, Managing Director
Technology
has changed the language of business. “When
we founded the company back in 1994, e-mail was a rarity in
the business world,” notes Kristen Giovanis, Managing
Director of KJI. “That’s hard to even imagine now.
But early on, we worked with the principle that technology
could and would be a competitive advantage, to us and to our
clients. We’ve been a forerunner in our ability to seize
technology as a method of providing outstanding customer service
and improving business processes.”
Kristen taps her wide range of business, technology, legal,
regulatory and policy knowledge to help clients manage the
risks and costs of globalization. She has specific in-depth
experience in CE regulations, medical compliance, and international
contract law, as well as the practical requirements of working
effectively across international borders.
As Managing Director, Kristen
sets the tone for customer relations. “We
put a lot of thought into the needs of the customer,” she
says. “Our goal is to respond proactively to requirements
before the customer is even aware of them. We have a process,
but we don’t force customers to fit into it. Rather,
we manipulate and adapt our process to fit the time, cost,
and requirements of the client.”
Kristen holds a JD from the William Mitchell
College of Law and has completed additional legal studies
through Duke University
Law School in Brussels and Notre Dame Law School in London.
She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar, the American Bar
Association, the American Chamber of Commerce in Europe and
the American Business Women’s Association of Brussels.
She spent three years in Brussels to develop KJI’s European
office and gain first-hand knowledge of the EU business, regulatory
and legal environment.
